Offensive Outburst Paces #18 Women's Soccer Past Penn State-Brandywine, 8-0; Dzierzgowski Nets Two Goals in Win

MEDIA, PA -- Seven different players found the back of the net as #18 Rowan posted an 8-0 shutout win at Penn State-Brandywine on Thursday.

Alexis Dzierzgowski led the offense with two goals and an assist. The Profs (3-0) got first-half scores from Cailey Bozinis, Sara Wiedeman, Angela Oliveto, Sydney Murphy, and Renata Cicala to stake the team to a 5-0 lead at the break.

After Dzierzgowski scored in the 51st and 55th minutes respectively, the sophomore assisted on the final score of the day in the 90th minute, setting up Alodia Traenkner to account for the scoring.

Goalies Enya Carthy and Ava Turrisi saw one shot combined to pick up the team's second clean sheet of the year.

Penn State-Brandywine's Jasmin Alvarez recorded 12 stops.

Rowan returns to action next Saturday at home as the team welcomes St. Mary's of Maryland in a 5 p.m. start.
