GLASSBORO, NJ -- The Rowan Volleyball team gets is 2025 schedule underway this weekend at the Giovanazzi Memorial Tournament on Friday, August 29th against the host and nationally-ranked Johns Hopkins.
Head coach Deana Jespersen begins her 12th season at the helm of the Profs, looking to make a run towards a another conference crown, its first since back-to-back championships in 2021 and 2022. Last season the team put together a 16-14 record and a 5-3 mark in NJAC play. As the #5 seed in the NJAC Tournament, Rowan took out #4 Kean before falling in the semifinal round to eventual champion William Paterson.

Jena Kaul and
Vanessa Hutchinson return after putting together all-conference NJAC honors last season. The duo joins 10 returning letterwinners and five newcomers as the Profs look to ascend to the top of the conference standings and a run to the NJAC title. Kaul led the team and was fifth in the conference in total kills (330) while Hutchinson was second in digs (497) and digs per set (4.69). The team will have to replace setter and four-time all-conference selection and the program's all-time leader in assists in
Brooke Adams to graduation.Â
The home opener is on Saturday, September 13th in a tri-match as Rowan battles Catholic and Lebanon Valley. NJAC begins on Tuesday, September 23rd against Stockton on the road. The NJAC Tournament kicks off on November 11th with the championship match on November 15th.
