STATEN ISLAND, NY -- The Rowan Men's Indoor Track & Field Team finished second at the Metropolitan Championships on Friday at the Ocean Breeze Complex, edged out by just one point from first-place Manhattan.
RESULTS
Here are some of the Rowan highlights:

Tyler Raimondi was second in the pole vault, adding to his NJAC-leading mark of 4.55 meters and moved him into the top 50 in Division III as well

Kwaku Nkrumah finished first in the 60 meter hurdles with a season-best time of 8.25

Cole Kolodziej hit a PR in the mile (4:26.18), where he finished seventh
-
Jah'mere Beasley turned in a season-best time in the 200 meters (22.02)
- The distance medley relay team of
Dario Epifania,
Jarquil Young, Sean Eisenhower, and Shane Vostenak took second in a time of 10:38.76
- In the 5000 meters,
Matthew Conway was third (15:31.61)
The Profs totaled 116 points, one behind Manhattan and four ahead of third-place Fordham.
Next weekend, the team will be in action in three events beginning on Friday with the Valentine Invitational at Boston University and at the FastTrack National Invitational back up at Ocean Breeze. On Saturday, the squad heads to Reading, Pa. for the Alvernia Plex Shootout.
