GLASSBORO, N.J. -- Rowan Women's Basketball Team has their 2021-22 schedule set as the team is eager to get back to action after a year away due to the pandemic.
The season gets underway on Saturday, November 13th as they play Tufts in the Tyler Tip-Off hosted by Smith College. It's the first game since March 7th, 2020 after bowing out of the NCAA Division III Tournament in a third-round defeat to Amherst. The following day will see the Profs square off against the host Pioneers. The home opener is on Wednesday, November 17th against Widener. The last action here at Esbjornson Gymnasium took place on February 28th, 2020 as Rowan defated Montclair State for the NJAC Championship.
Conference play begins on Tuesday, November 23rd at TCNJ before a matchup at Salisbury over the Thanksgiving weekend. As the calendar turns into December, the Profs battle Stockton (Dec. 1) and Kean (Dec.4) at home before two road contests at Rutgers-Camden (Dec. 8) and at William Paterson (Dec. 11). Â The squad will play at Muhlenberg on December 18th and take part in the Cabrini Classic on December 30th and 31st, with games against Eastern and Cabrini, to close out the calendar year.
The first game of 2022 takes place on Wednesday, January 5th at home vs. NJCU. Conference action takes place the rest of the way as the team plays four of its last six games of the season right here at home. The regular season concludes on Wednesday, February 16th at home against Montclair State.
The New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament gets underway in first-round action on Saturday, February 19th. Semifinal matchups take place on Tuesday, February 22nd with the championship game on Friday the 25th.

Demetrius Poles looks forward to the challenging schedule in 2021-22. "To say the least we are very young with nine new players (eight freshmen and one transfer), but at the same time we are experienced with our returning upperclassmen who helped win the NJAC Title in 2019-20.
