STATEN ISLAND, NY – The Rowan University women's track & field team traveled to the University Albany Winter Classic, which was held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. The meet included schools from Division I, II and III.
Aaniyah Robinson took eighth place with a time of 7.96 in the 60 meter dash.
Angel Rowe came in 10
thin the triple jump with 37' 5" (11.40 m).
Promise Fadahunsi was fifth (8.01) in the 60 meters qualifying dash.
Nicole Notarianni tied for 10
th(9.49) in the 60 meter qualifying hurdles.
Makayla Taylor tied for 18
th in the weight throw and broke the school record. She had a throw of 48' 4" (14.73 m). The old mark was 47' 6.25" (14.48 m) by
Olivia Scattergood from last season. Scattergood was 23
rd with 47' 1.50" (14.36 m). In the shot put, Taylor had a 24
th place with 36' 4.25" (11.08 m).
The 4x400 meter relay of
Dani Nicklas,
Melina Johnson,
Sha'Lynn Clarke and
Dashmarie Cruz finished 16
th with a time of 4:08.67. Nicklas came in 17
th (59.77) in the 400 meters.
Myiah Sturdivant had a 26
th place (1:20.64) in the 500 meters.
Sha'Lynn Clarke finished 28
th (2:23.63) in the 800 meters.
Sophia Gresham tied for 28
th in the long jump with 16' 4.25" (4.98 meters).
The Profs will have student-athletes at the Frank Colden Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 9 at Ursinus College that starts at 9:30 a.m.
