Gallagher Named Volleyball's First All-America Honoree

LEXINGTON, KY - Rowan senior Kailey Gallagher has added another honor to her resumé as she was named to the 2019 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III Honorable Mention All-America Team, becoming the first-ever Profs' volleyball player to earn All-America status.

The 5-11 outside hitter had previously been named to the AVCA All-Northeast Region Team, becoming only the second player in Rowan history to earn All-Region honors. She was also chosen to the 2019 All-NJAC First Team, which marked her third straight year receiving All-Conference recognition and her second time receiving First Team honors.

Gallagher was the Profs' leader in kills (332), kills per set (2.91) and blocks per set (0.67) this season while ranking second on the team with 76 blocks and a hitting percentage of .269. During her career, she totaled 1,027 kills and 240 total blocks.

She ranked among the top 10 statistical leaders in the NJAC in hitting percentage (9th), kills/set (8th), blocks (9th), and points scored (8th).

Rowan went 19-14 this year and reached the NJAC Finals as the second seed in the conference's championship tournament.
