Rowan, the second seed in the tournament, advances to the NJAC Finals for the third year in a row and will look for a three-peat in its quest for a 14th conference title in program history.
Doderer won her ninth-straight start to improve to 18-2 on the season. The sophomore had five strikeouts over the first three innings which was more than enough as the offense struck early to help walk it off in the sixth to kick in the eight-run rule.
Evick finished 2-for-3 at the plate while
Zoey Rogers and
Emma Dobkin added two hits apiece.
Zara MacNair walked twice and scored twice as Rowan won its 17th game in a row.
Fisher put the Profs on the board in the first as she cranked her eighth homer of the season, this a two-run shot. Dobkin later knocked in Evick on an RBI single for a 3-0 lead after Rowan's first at-bat.
Two runs came in on Rogers' single in the second to stretch the advantage to five. In the fourth, MacNair, who reached on a one-out single, scored from first on Rogers' single. The throw into third to try and get the advancing MacNair was off the mark for an error, allowing the junior to cross home to make it 6-0.
Evick led off the fifth with her second career dinger to add to the lead. In the sixth after MacNair walked, pinch runner
Maddyn Rittler came around to score on
Mikayla Dansky's double to walk it off and send the Profs into the championship series.
Kean starter Nikki Lusnia (15-8) took the loss after allowing three runs in the first.
Rowan will take on TCNJ, as the third-seeded Lions knocked off top-seeded Stockton, 2-1, in the other NJAC Semifinal.
