SEWANEE, TN -
Elaina Corson scored nine goals to lead #19 Rowan to an 18-5 win over Sewanee in women's lacrosse action. The Profs (5-2) will continue their Spring Break trip in Tennessee when they visit Rhodes on Thursday.

It was a season-high for Corson, and just one shy of her career-high (10) for goals in a game. The Profs also got three goals from
Madison Rothwein and two apiece from
Trish Gillen and
Fiona Lockhart.

With the game tied at 2-2 in the first quarter, the Profs broke it open by scoring eight consecutive goals to take own a 10-2 lead at halftime. Corson had five in the first half, with Rothwein chipping in two.

The Profs scored the first five goals after halftime, running their lead up to 15-2. Corson had two,
Yasmin Harris,
Alexis Lowry and Rothwein each scored goals. Sewanee (7-1) got another one back before the end of the third quarter but Rowan owned a dominating 16-3 advantage.
Gillen and Corson scored Rowan's final goals of the game to finish with a total of 18 for the third time this year, and second game in a row.

Kylie Durboraw made five saves in goal as the Profs out shot Sewanee by a 20-5 margin while handing the Tigers their first loss of the year.
