HAMPTON, VA -- The 2025-26 New Jersey Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Championships got underway Thursday with the women's 800 free relay breaking a school record and hitting an NCAA B Cut time in the process.
THURSDAY'S RESULTS
The 800 free relay of
Kaitlyn Crouthamel,
Lily Pushkar,
Lilyanna Martin, and
Ella Pennington touched the wall in a time of 7:36.35 to finish second. Crouthamel, Martin, and Pennington  were part of the 800 free relay where they broke the old mark of 7:39.32 at last season's conference championships.
Martin and Pennington teamed with
Barbara Mora and
Rhylee Cornell in the 200 medley relay where Rowan was fourth (1:45.98).
The women sit in third place after day one with 108 points, trailing first-place Salisbury (128) and second-place Kean (110).
On the men's side, the Profs are in fifth place (104 points). TCNJ leads the pack with 201 points, ahead of Merchant Marine (193), Mary Washington (123), and Salisbury (112).
Both men's relay squads turned in season best times on the night as well.
Drew Westhoven,
Joshua Oliveira,
Julian Huynh, and
Braden Sheehan paced the 800 free relay to a third-place finish (6:44.62).
The men's 200 medley relay consisting of
Jim Mahoney,
Joshua Oliveira,
Mason Parkzes, and
Braden Sheehan clocked in at 1:30.61 where the group placed fifth.
Action continues from the Aquaplex in Hampton, Virginia through Sunday. Friday's first session starts at 9:30 a.m. with the evening session starting at 5:30 p.m.
