GLASSBORO, NJ - PITMAN, NJ – Rowan's
Matthew Conway (men's cross country/ track & field) and
Anna Sasse (women's cross country/ track & field) were selected to the 2024-25 NJAC All-Academic First Team and
Nick Struble (baseball) and
Sara Wiedeman (women's soccer) were named to the All-Academic Second Team. Those Profs lead the group of 186 additional Rowan student-athletes who received NJAC All-Academic Honorable Mention for 2024-25.
The Profs are among 1,379 NJAC student-athletes to received All-Academic honors, as they possess a minimum 3.20 cumulative GPA, completion of 24 credits and may not be a "true" freshman or a first-year transfer student.
Conway, a graduate with his degree in chemical engineering, was an NCAA qualifier in cross country and an All-Region Indoor Track selection. He also picked up All-NJAC First Team honors in the 5000m (indoors) and 10,000m outdoors. Conway received the Irene Elizabeth Tracey Award for Excellence in Engineering from Rowan's College of Engineering and was the recipient of the Thomas Robinson Leadership Award from the College. A USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete in cross country, Conway is a four-time Rowan Scholar-Athlete of Distinction.
Sasse, who graduated with her degree in mechanical engineering, was an All-Region Indoor Track selection in the mile and picked up All-Region Outdoor Track honors in the 1500m and the steeplechase. She was chosen to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Track team and the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Cross Country team. Sasse, who earned Rowan Scholar-Athlete of Distinction honors four times, was also named a USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete for cross country.
Struble, a junior finance major, played in 39 games for nationally-ranked Rowan, which won the NCAA Lynchburg Super Regional and advanced to the Division III World Series. The first baseman/designated hitter compiled a team-best .400 batting average while adding 29 RBI and scoring 34 runs. Struble, who was Rowan's nominee for the NCAA Elite 90 Award, was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team and the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Baseball Team.
Wiedeman, a sophomore elementary education, received All-NJAC Honorable Mention as she was the Profs' third leading scorer with 15 points (6 goals, 3 assists). She was named a 2024-25 Rowan Scholar-Athlete of Distinction.
