Brown and Pennington Capture NJAC Player of the Week Awards

PITMAN, NJ -- Jamir Brown and Ella Pennington took home weekly honors from the New Jersey Athletic Conference for the week ending January 26th.

Brown scored the NJAC Men's Track & Field Track Athlete of the Week after hitting the #2 NCAA 60 hurdle time (7.90) in this past weekend's Dr. Sander Invite at the NYC Armory. The freshman, though, already claims the #1 DIII time (7.72) set back in December. This is the second time the freshman has been honored.

NJAC Women's Swimmer of the Week accolades went to Pennington for the sixth time this season as the junior claimed first in the 100 backstroke (56.46) and second in the 200 backstroke (2:04.75) in the tri-meet with #10 Swarthmore and Kean on Saturday.

The indoor track & field team will get back at it on Friday at the METS Championships held at the Ocean Breeze Complex in Staten Island, NY.

Women's swimming (3-5) closed out its dual meet portion of the schedule and will now prepare for the 2024-25 NJAC Championships that get underway on Thursday, February 13th through Sunday the 16th at the Aquaplex in Hampton, Virginia.
