PITMAN, NJ --
Payton MacNair,
Emily McCutcheon,
Robert McKinney, and
Damarion Potts were honored by the New Jersey Athletic Conference in its weekly awards for action concluding on Tuesday, May 14th.
MacNair was named the NJAC Softball Player of the Week with teammate McCutcheon chosen as the NJAC Pitcher of the Week.
McKinney claimed the NJAC Men's Track & Field Track Athlete of the Week and Potts selected as the NJAC Men's Track & Field Rookie of the Week.
MacNair and McCutcheon played vital roles in the Profs' journey through the NJAC Tournament last week as Rowan came out on top by winning its 12th conference championship in the process. In three playoff games, MacNair batted 5-for-14 with three RBI and three doubles. She would drive in the lone run in the NJAC Title game,
a 1-0 victory over Ramapo, as the senior went 3-for-3 in the game with a career-high three doubles.
McCutcheon delivered
an NCAA record in last Monday's playoff opener against TCNJ, as the sophomore threw all 20 innings of a 1-0 walk-off win. It was the most innings pitched in a game in Division III history. McCutcheon scattered 11 hits with six strikeouts and five walks while throwing 230 pitches in the four-hour plus marathon. The contest was just one inning shy of tying the longest game in Division III (21 innings).
McKinney would secure PR's in two events at Monday's Widener Final Qualifier meet. He was first in the 100 meters (10.76) and later took fifth in the 200 meters (21.58), both personal bests.
Potts put his name in the top 30 of Division III in the high jump with an outdoor-best mark of 2.03 meters.
