PITMAN, NJ -- Tobias Cahnbley, Ella Pennington, Allie Palumbo, Tess Herman, Johnny Troiano, and Joey Kurak were all honored by the New Jersey Athletic Conference in its weekly awards for the week ending November 3rd.

Cahbley was named the NJAC Men's Swimmer of the Week as the senior had the top times in both the 200 (1:44.6) and 500 free (4:44.80), both top 3 NJAC times, against Salisbury on Saturday.

Pennington was awarded the NJAC Women's Swimmer of the Week after capturing the top times in the 100 fly (57.49), 100 back (58.28), and 200 back (2:10.07) and was in the winning 200 medley relay (1:50.90) for the Profs vs. Salisbury.

Palumbo scores the NJAC Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week, one of two awards for the team. The senior totaled two goals and one assist in the two victories. She assisted on the game-winning goal in the 3-1 victory at Stockton and in the regular-season finale at Montclair State, she scored two goals within a span of 27 seconds in the first three minutes of the game, helping Rowan clinch the NJAC regular season title. A three-time Offensive Player of the Week, she tops the conference in goals with 14.

Herman earns her second consecutive NJAC Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week honor. She played a key role as the Profs went 2-0 on the week and captured their fourth-straight NJAC regular-season title. The junior team captain helped Rowan to wins over Stockton, 3-1, and a 6-0 decision at Montclair State for the team's seventh shutout of the year.

Troiano earns the NJAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors for the third time this season. He recorded two goals and two assists in the 4-0 win at TCNJ that gave Rowan the NJAC regular-season crown. The junior forward leads the conference in scoring with 15 goals and six assists.

Kurak, who picks up his third NJAC Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week award, had two goals and an assist in the 4-0 win at TCNJ that clinched the NJAC regular-season title. The freshman scored Rowan's first two goals, including the game winner, in the first half. Kurak, who has four goals this season, then assisted on the team's third goal.

Men's soccer (10-4-5), which has won six straight, enters the 2024 NJAC Championship as the top seed and will host Rutgers-Camden on Tuesday in the semifinals beginning at 6 p.m.
Field Hockey (12-7) takes an eight-game winning streak as it hosts the NJAC Semifinal game against Stockton on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Both the men's (1-2) and women's (1-2) swim teams resume action next Friday, November 15th in a home meet against Montclair State.
