GLASSBORO, NJ – Rowan's
Connor Dickerson has been named to the 2023 PhillySIDA Academic All-Area Men's Basketball Team, which is voted on by the sports information offices of 30 area institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Dickerson, a senior business management major, was a key member of Rowan's team that put together one of its best seasons in recent years. The Profs went 24-6, captured the NJAC Championship, and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 for the first time since 1996-97, while finishing the year ranked 17
th in the nation by D3hoops.com.
The senior guard earned All-NJAC Honorable Mention as a starter in all 30 games. He averaged career bests of 9.2 ppg and 3.5 rebounds, while topping the team in assists (70) and steals (62).
Dickerson was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District 2 Team for the past two years and was an NJAC All-Academic First Team selection in 2021-22. He is also a three-time Rowan Scholar-Athlete of Distinction.
Joining Dickerson on the Academic All-Area Team are Bryce Barrouk of Penn State Brandywine, Antonin Kemkeng and Erik Timko of Thomas Jefferson University and Vinny DeAngelo of Swarthmore, who was named the Performer of the Year.
