PITMAN, NJ -- Amara Conte and Andrew Seager captured weekly honors by the New Jersey Athletic Conference for the week ending February 13th.

Conte was chosen the NJAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week while Seager was named the NJAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

Conte anchored the 4x400 relay that set a new school record over the weekend. Charlie Serrano-Juarez, Nana Agyemang, Jah'mere Beasley, and Conte finished in a time of 3:12.80 to set a school record and post the fastest indoor Division III time in 15 years (sixth-fastest in DIII all-time) at the Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University on Saturday. Conte also clocked the second-fastest Division III mark in the 400 meters this year (48.21).  

Seager averaged 20.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in the Profs' 2-0 week, connecting on 5-of-7 (.714) from 3-point range and 8-for-10 (.800) from the foul line. The sophomore had a game-high 24 points, along with six rebounds and a career-high five steals in the 107-104 win at NJCU. He followed that with 17 points, three rebounds, three assists and a career-high five blocks in the win over Ramapo as Profs won their fifth straight and notched their 20th victory of the year. It marks the second conference Player of the Week award of the season for Seager, who is averaging 14.4 points per game and a team-high 7.0 rebounds.

The men's indoor track & field team will compete in the NJAC Championships on Monday, February 21st in Staten Island, NY at the Ocean Breeze Complex.

The men's basketball team (20-4, 13-4 NJAC) closes out the regular season on Wednesday when they welcome Montclair State on Senior Night in a 7:30 tip.
