Rowan Rankings Update: October 5, 2022

GLASSBORO, NJ -- In latest national and regional rankings, Rowan is represented in four of our fall sports. Here is a recap.

Field Hockey retains its #2 national ranking by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) in its Division III Poll. The Profs notched shutout wins over Alvernia and TCNJ last week to improve to 10-0 and 1-0 in NJAC action this season.

Women's Soccer jumped up a spot to #6 in the United Soccer Coaches Region IV Poll. The Profs also picked up a pair of shutout victories last week, both in conference play. Rowan took care of NJCU, 4-0, last Wednesday and added a 2-0 clean sheet over Rutgers-Newark on Tuesday.

Women's Cross Country remains at #6 in the latest U.S. Track and Field & Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Metro Region Poll. Last weekend, the Profs placed eighth overall (out of 20 teams) at the Mike Woods Invitational at Geneseo.

Men's Cross Country slipped down to #4 in the USTFCCCA Metro Region Poll down from #2 and fell out of the national top 35 rankings. Rowan claimed 10th place at the Mike Woods Invitational last Saturday.

This week, field hockey continues play on Wednesday with an NJAC matchup at Stockton followed by a home tilt with William Paterson on Saturday. Women's Soccer (7-0-2, 3-0 NJAC) will take on another unbeaten conference team on Saturday as Montclair State visits Glassboro. Both the men's and women's cross country teams return to action on Saturday, October 15th as Rowan hosts the sixth-annual Border Battle.
