GLASSBORO, NJ - The Rowan women's cross country team will be back in competition this fall after having its 2020 season canceled due to the pandemic. The Profs, who captured the 2019 NJAC Championship, will get the year underway on September 4 when they travel to the Salisbury Classic.
SCHEDULE
Â
Rowan will host its annual Bill Fritz Invitational on Saturday, September 11, at Dream Park in Logan Township, NJ.
Â
The Profs will then head to the Iona Meet of Champions at Van Cortlandt Park in New York on September 17 and the Paul Short Run at Lehigh on October 1.
Â
Rowan returns home to host the Border Battle on October 16 at Dream Park, in its final tune-up for the NJAC Championships, which will be held on October 30.
Â
The NCAA Atlantic Regional is scheduled for November 13 with the NCAA Championship set for November 20.
Â
"We are returning a very good team from two years ago. The schedule reflects a build up into quality meets such as Paul Short and the Border Battle to get ready for conference and regionals," said head coach Ringo Adamson. "We are looking for leadership up front from the returnees including
Madison Edwards,
Lindsey Hofschneider,
Sha'Lynn Clarke and
Lyndsay Boyd."
Â
Clarke was an NJAC All-Conference selection in 2019 after her sixth-place finish at the NJAC Championships, while Edwards and Boyd were among Rowan's top finishers at the 2019 NCAA Atlantic Regionals.
