GLASSBORO, N.J. -- The Rowan men's basketball team has announced its schedule for the 2021-22 season and a return to the hardwood for the student-athletes and coaches, after missing last year due to the pandemic.

Joe Crispin's squad will open the year against the U.S. Coast Guard Academy on Friday, November 12 at the TownePlace Suites Tip-Off hosted by Messiah (PA), marking the first game for Rowan since February 26, 2020. Â The consolation and championship will be held on November 13, with Clarkson rounding out the field.

Rowan makes its return to its home court, Esby Gym, for the first time in two years on Wednesday, November 17th against Marymount.

Conference play begins right away on Tuesday, November 23 with a date at TCNJ before Thanksgiving. Moving into December, the Profs will battle Stockton (Dec. 1) and Kean (Dec. 4) at home before going on the road for four straight - at Cabrini (Dec. 6), Rutgers-Camden (Dec. 8), William Paterson (Dec. 11) and Salisbury (Dec. 17).Â

The Profs close out the calendar year at the Juniata Tournament on December 29-30 facing John Carroll in the first round and then either Juniata or Bryn Athyn the following day.

Rowan rings in the New Year with a pair of home games, on Wednesday, January 5, vs. NJCU and on January 8 vs. Rutgers-Newark. The Profs visit Montclair State (Jan. 12) and Ramapo (Jan. 15) before returning home on January 19 to take on TCNJ.

After another pair of road games at Kean (Jan. 22) and Stockton (Jan. 26), the Profs return to Esby Gym to host William Paterson (Jan. 29) and Rutgers-Camden (Feb. 2).

Rowan plays at Rutgers-Newark (Feb. 5) and NJCU (Feb. 9) before closing out the regular season at home, against Ramapo on February 12 and Montclair State on February 16.

"More than anything, I am excited to have a schedule! After a season off, we are really looking forward to playing any and all of our games," said Crispin, now entering his fifth year as head coach . "As always, our conference schedule is one of the most difficult in the country with 18 games. But our out-of-conference schedule will prepare us well for both our conference play and the postseason.Â

The NJAC Tournament gets underway with first-round action on Saturday, February 19, with the semifinals set for Wednesday, February 22 and the championship game scheduled for February 26.
