GLASSBORO, N.J. -- On Saturday, October 16th, Rowan will host the sixth annual Inter-Regional Border Battle at the DREAM Park in nearby Logan Township, New Jersey. There will be four races held, beginning with the women's 6k championship race at 11:00 AM, followed by the men's 8k championship race at 11:45 AM. At 12:30 PM, the women's 6k open races takes place with the men's 8k open race beginning at 1:15 PM.

With the 2020 edition not held due to the pandemic, Carnegie Mellon (men) and Johns Hopkins (women) are your defending team champions. Carnegie Mellon won the team title in the championship race by edging runner up Johns Hopkins by just three points. On the women's side, the Blue Jays have won this event in three of the last four years including back-to-back titles in 2018 and 2019.

The course at DREAM Park is also slated to host the NCAA Division III Metro Region Championships on Saturday, November 13th.

In 2019, the Rowan men took eighth place in the championship run and third place in the open run. Upperclassmen Kush Patel and Jeff Stewart finished in 86th and 87th places respectively as the duo were part of the starting 10 in the championship race. Connor McBride was the top Prof to finish in the open race, placing tenth.

The Rowan women put up an 11th place finish in the championship race in 2019 and had four runners in the open race. Sha'Lynn Clarke was the top returning finisher in the championship race, placing 77th. Kylie Howard was 26th in the open race to lead the Profs.
