PITMAN, NJ – Five Rowan University student-athletes earned New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Athlete of the Week honors.

Ayanna Johnson was named the NJAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Dominique Peters was selected the conference's Women's Track & Field Rookie of the Week.
Kevin Gillooly received his third NJAC Men's Swimmer of the Week selection.
Carlee Timmins was chosen the NJAC Women's Swimmer Week while
Jordan McChesney was the Rookie of the Week. McChesney has earned the honor four times.
In a 2-0 week, Johnson compiled 41 rebounds and 12 blocks. She also added 7.0 points per game. Johnson grabbed 26 rebounds and blocked seven shots in a 71-65 win at Kean University. The center tied the school record for rebounds in a game and broke the mark for blocks in a season (56). She totaled 15 boards and five blocks in the 89-50 victory against Rutgers-Newark. This season, Johnson is averaging 14.8 rebounds per game and she has recorded 65 blocks.
At the NYC Gotham Classic, Peters took 12
thplace in the high jump with a height of 4' 11" (1.50 m). She finished 17
thin the 200 meters (27.15) and triple jump (33' 6", 10.21 m).
Gillooly won two individual events in a quad meet against Johns Hopkins University, Swarthmore College and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He swam times of 20.77 and 46.32 in the 50 and 100 freestyles respectively for first place. The junior anchored the second place freestyle relay (1:25.61) and was on the 200 medley relay that finished fourth (1:34.72).
Timmins was the winner (17:47.90) in the 1650 freestyle and she finished second (5:16.13) in the 500 free at the quad meet. McChesney came in second (53.76) in the 100 freestyle and fourth (25.11) in the 50 free. She was the anchor on the second place 200 freestyle relay (1:40.28) and third place 200 medley relay (1:50.17).
