STATEN ISLAND, NY– The Rowan University men's track & field team traveled to the Wagner College Shootout. The meet was held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
Earnest Daniel won the high jump with a height of 6' 6.75" (2.00 m). The 4x400 A meter relay of
Justin Bishop,
Vincent Delle,
John Owens and
Nick Neville took second in 3:20.72. In the 600 meter run, Neville finished third and shattered the school record with a time of 1:20.90. The previous mark was 1:23.19 by
Jamil Jackson in 2014.
Esteban Delgado came in second (2:36.69) in the 1000 meter run. Bishop took third (35.30) in the 300 meter dash.
Rakim Coyle finished third in the long jump with 21' 11.75" (6.70 m).
Zaire Weaver had a leap of 41' 2.25" (12.55 m) in the triple jump and was third.
Adonis McGee had a fourth place in the high jump (6' 4.75", 1.95 m). Delle was sixth (1:24.90) in the 600 meter run.
Peter Argekis ran 4:41.01 in the one mile for sixth place. In the long jump,
Frankie Richard had a fifth place finish (21' 6", 6.55 m) while Owens, Clinton Benjamin, Weaver and
Ahmir Johnson were sixth (21' 3.5", 6.49 m), seventh (21', 6.40 m), eighth (20' 6.5", 6.26 m) and ninth (19' 11", 6.07 m) respectively.
Rob Gardner and Ryan Jillard tied for sixth (13' 3.5", 4.05 m) in the pole vault while
Nick Rossi and
Bryant Then tied for eighth (12' 9.5", 3.90 m).
John Nguyen took sixth (8.48) in the 60 meter hurdles followed by
Kevin King, seventh (8.49).
Liam Davies came in eighth (8.62) in the 60 meter hurdles and
Marcello Pinnero was ninth (8.65).
Geoff Hammond, McGee, Delgado and Argekis were on the 4x400 B meter relay that was seventh (3:35.40).
AJ Austin finished ninth in the high jump (5' 10.75", 1.80 m).
Hammond had an 11
th place (36.14) in the 300 meter dash.
Nick Kokolis threw the shot put 40' 1.5" (12.23 m) for 11
th place. Austin followed 12
th (39' 8.5", 12.10 m),
Ian Bain was 13
th (38' 6.25", 11.74 m) and
Nick Harmer was 16
th (36' 6.25", 11.13 m). Bain also had a 15
th place in the weight throw with a toss of 36' 5.75" (11.12 m).
