GLASSBORO, NJ – Rowan University third baseman Justin Provost was named the NCAA Division III Rookie of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
 
Provost (fr. Hackettstown, NJ/Pope John XXIII) had a hot start to the Profs' trip to the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational. He went 6-for-12 with two doubles, nine RBIs and three runs scored. Provost posted multiple hits and multiple RBIs in each of his three contests. He was two-for-four with three RBIs against Salve Regina University (March 9). The following day, Provost went two-for-four with a double and four RBIs in a win over Ripon College. He wrapped up the week with two hits (four at bats), a double and two RBIs while also taking a hit by pitch in the victory over #1 UMass Boston. Provost was chosen the New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week.
