IWLCA Division III All-America Team
GLASSBORO, NJ – Rowan University midfielder Michelle Lubrano was selected to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-America second team.
This year, the IWLCA will honor 48 All-Americans at its All-American banquet on Saturday, June 16. The event will take place at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge in King of Prussia, PA. Lubrano (sr. Delanco, NJ/Holy Cross) moved onto the national ballot after being named to the IWLCA Boardwalk All-Region first team.
A team captain, she led the Profs with 80 points on 70 goals and 10 assists. Lubrano was also first in draw controls (89), ground balls (40) and caused turnovers (19). She set a new school single season record with 70 goals, surpassing the previous mark of 68. In 68 career games, Lubrano totaled 170 points with 133 goals and 37 assists. She collected 201 draw controls, 102 ground balls and 60 caused turnovers. Lubrano is ninth all-time at the University in career goals.
Lubrano earned New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) All-Conference first team honors. She was chosen to the SynapseSports.com All-America second team. She will play in the Under Armour/IWLCA North-South Senior All-Star Game at United Sports in Downingtown, PA on Saturday, June 16 at 2 p.m. This season, Lubrano received NJAC Offensive Player of the Week honors once and she was chosen the conference’s Defensive Player of the Week twice. Last year, she was named to the IWLCA Boardwalk All-Region first team and All-America third team.
